We purchased this for our new 1 1/2 year old 40 pound rescue pooch. She was very curious about it and initially was scared from the sounds it made. It sounds like funny laughter when the ball rolls around. However she now loves it and it is the first toy she chooses with when she wants to play. She has other options in her toy basket, like soft squeaky plush toys but prefers this one first. She is able to grip the ball in her mouth due to “handles” on the side and can carry it around the room. I do like the fact it will never need batteries. It is made of hard plastic material but lends itself to being more durable. Great price and would recommend this!
